Unfollow Ashton!
Most of you are aware of the “race” between Ashton Kutcher and CNN to see who could get to 1 million Twitter followers first, and you probably know that Ashton won.
Now, I implore you, if you follow Ashton, unfollow him.
Why, you might ask?
Any number of reasons. Here’s a couple:
1. The fact that so many people chose the guy from “Dude, Where’s My Car?” over a respected news network only reinforces the assinine reality that people in this country favor trivial celebrities over actual global events. Rebel against the Cult of Personality.
2. Because you have nothing better to do and if it happens, you can be all “Yeah, I was there when Electric Pencils started this and I feel a part of the greater good.” I mean, if you’re going to be in a cult, why not the Cult of Electric Pencils?
So, unfollow him. Tell your friends to unfollow him. If you have a blog,Twitter, MySpace, Facebook, whatever, post this message or something similar and let’s take back the night…or the Twitter.
